Product Components
This section provides information about the components that are
laminated together to make labelstock. The face materials, adhesives
and backings are described according to typical applications.
Self-adhesive laminate comprises the following components, from top to bottom:
- Either a paper or
synthetic face material makes up the top layer of the laminate. The
printing is done on the upper side of the face material.
- An adhesive is applied to the reverse side of the face material.
- A silicone release coating is applied to the upper side of the backing material.
- Either a paper or synthetic backing provides the bottom layer of the laminate.
